Welcome to a new Australian Museum Entomology expedition! This expedition is going to look at the superfamily Tenebrionoidea. Tenebrionids are a highly diverse superfamily with 20,000 species, making it the largest superfamily of beetles. Tenebrionoids are highly diverse, exhibiting a range of feeding styles, including feeding on fungus, decaying plant material, pollen-feeding and acting as ectoparasitoids of other insects, as well as a range of different morphologies. 

This expedition is part of the Australian Museum's Collection Enhancement Project (CEP). The CEP will result in new levels of access to the AM’s diverse collections, making digital images and meta data easily accessible to First Nations communities, scientists, researchers, students and individuals from Australia and abroad.
