The South African National Biodiversity Institute is responsible for exploring, revealing, celebrating and championing biodiversity for the benefit and enjoyment of biodiversity in South Africa for all our people and visitors to our country which includes managing the National Botanical Gardens (NBG) as 'windows' to South Africa's biodiversity for enjoyment and education. We also are the primary source of information about South Africa's biodiversity.
