SpecimensNatural History Museum of Utah - Entomology

One of our newest accessions is this exciting butterfly and moth collection. Donated by hobbyist Vernon Evans, this collection includes tens of thousands of stunning specimens from around the world. Vernon also partnered with entomologist Richard E. Howard of Texas, and we are the fortunate recipients of some of Howard's dedicated work as well. We are grateful for your assistance to transcribe the data labels for these breathtaking beauties of the natural world. This transcription will allow the data to be made available for researchers around the world.

The invertebrates collections at the Natural History Museum of Utah consist of approximately 350,000 pinned, papered, frozen and fluid-preserved specimens from around the world, with greatest specimen numbers from the intermountain west.
